Festival Poetics
Kids Festival was created in Lecce by two companies, Factory and Principio attivo teatro, with the intention of putting their skills at the service of the city of Lecce and offering a valid alternative to Christmas entertainment. Dedicated to children and families and spread throughout the city, Kids presents a proposal of national and international shows that cross multiple languages and inhabit different places in the city. An inclusive festival thanks to the practice of the suspended ticket with a rich programme of workshops, site-specific performances, book presentations and appointments dedicated to live performance operators.

Prevalent languages
Kids does not select shows that have a prevalent language but invests in programming that can cross several languages, ranging from physical theatre to figure theatre, from dance theatre to contemporary circus

Method of identifying participating companies
We select the companies after seeing the performances mainly live.


Other planned activities

• Gaze education workshop conducted by Casa dello Spettatore (Rome) and Casa del Contemporaneo (Naples) launched for the first year during the 2022/23 edition (9th edition)
• Actions and masterclasses of the Chain Reaction network of which it is part
• An annual focus with a meeting dedicated to professionals
